SAS likes flat ASCII files, though maybe newer versions of some packages will take DBFs, not sure about that. But in VFP using SQL or COPY to a text file (SDF) will work fine to prepare input for one of these packages, that I am sure of.

Check out the sites for SAS, SPSS - maybe they have a "lite" version that'll handle your needs...
