>I think this is a much-needed effort. But why not do this as a second volume and focus strictly on C/S? Assuming the reader has a good grasp on VFP and OOP basics, how can a VFP app be migrated to SQL Server. Presumably you'll be covering ADO, XML, MTS, EIEIO, and making VFP work with those technologies. These are scary subjects to a lot of folks trying to take the C/S plunge.

We will definitely be covering C/S and SQL Server Migration. However, it is going to be in the context of components, as opposed to the typical 2-tier sceanrio you see with most VFP applications. What are the implications? For starters, our book, while it will be complete, it will also be different. It will be sans the DBC and Remote views.

Watch out for COM Codebook from Flash... I will be using that as my component framework for my COM and N-Tier talks in NO. That way, my stuff will dovetail nicely into YAG's biz and data tier talks...

>Good luck and I look forward to seeing the book!

Thanks..
