>Do you think that Rick Strahl's or Kevin McNeish's articles are targetted at the beginner? We surely have less for advanced developers because we also have stuff for beginners, and an issue currently has only around 52 pages including the cover and ads.

52 pages is the problem. Unfortunately, FPA is dealing with a set of constraints that corners it in the realm of mediocrity. I understand the ratio that dictates advertising to page count. If the page count is limited, it means that it is all the more important to make sure the pages are used as efficiently as possible. Have you read the comments here? Have you shared them with Tamar? I suspect there is some "fat" that can be excised from FPA.

IMO, the ratio should be this:

Pure beginner - 10%
Intermediate - 50%
Intermediate/Advanced - 30%
Advanced/Black Belt Programming - 10%

Look at the VBPJ model. They do it right.... And most importantly, they keep the ratio constant from issue to issue...

If you look at the situation, there is ONE major FoxPro publication. And for all the comments expressed here, not one is glowing. What does that say? If you are going to be the only real game in town, there is no excuse for that....
