As far as seetings for Network library, post .... , I will show my ignorance and say, I have no clue. I haven't had to anything other than the default Named Pipes.
For the server name, as long as the server is viewable in your domain, or network neighbourhood, I haven't seen any problems.
Sometimes ignorance is bliss when everything works.
