You guys (TN to GA--y'all) are getting over my head. An OCX that does this is exactly what I need. I like properties and methods.
Spent a lot of time on MSDN over the weekend (how 'bout them Titans--sooo close) and I think OleCreatePictureIndirect is the way to do it. At least it appears to be the newest way. I think there are other ways of skinning this cat which include writing the hIcon to a file. OleCreatePictureIndirect appears easier to me.
Here's some links to sample articles that explain it. The second one is long, so just do a find on "OleCreatePictureIndirect". Both articles have sample code downloads. Unfortunately for me, they both are in VB.
