After the app starts running, you might try switching to the directory on the LAN where it worked before. You've picked up the immediate gain of running the executable from the local drive, and presumably putting your temporary files there, too; I'd build an appropriate SET PATH to let VFP find theings and then make the network folder the current working directory.
