I thought you had to download the beta add-on to get more than limited command line functionality from WinZip. I didn't see a command line parameter for spanning disks. Does the beta work well? I use DynaZip so I haven't had to worry about it.
Perhaps Mr. Jones could tell us which PKWare product he is using. I evaluated PKZip for Windows a long time ago. Back then it had no command line functionality and there was a bug associated with spanning disks when zipping very large files.
I have never looked at the PKWare data compression library. I have never seen any discussion about it on the UT. I see on their web site that it doesn't use the .ZIP format. I wonder why.
