Would the FFC not be sufficient for a medium-sized project? I'm sure that the commercial frameworks are much richer, but I thought they might be overkill for some things. If I were to really learn a big framework, I would have to buy it myself, and then probably not be able to use it, since I'm not going to be an independent contractor any time soon. What are the shortcomings of the FFC?

I have been reading Markus Egger's OOP book, which praises the FFC (except for the documentation, which his book provides) and says he incorproated many of its classes into his own framework (mining the code, as you say).

>>There are many third-party frameworks available for application development in FoxPro. How does the Microsoft framework that ships with VFP 6.0 compare with those. The main problem that I am facing with Microsofts framework classes is there is no documentation to even get started. I have been a Visual C++ programmer for a long time and I tend to compare this with MFC that ships with Visual C++. Microsoft provides excellent documentation for every class, method and property in MFC and tutorials and umpteen samples to get started. But none on FFC calsses and framework in VFP. Has anyone used the FFC framework to develop applications? If so, do you suggest I spend the time and effort to understand it from looking at thier source code?
