This will occur if the class/form date differ from the date stored in the project manager or if a .H file is modified. I prefer to keep my files read-write on my disk, so that I don't have the "Cannot update cursor" error. The downside is that I must double-check that I've checked out a file before doing a modification, because it won't be read-only.Another option could be to have a project hook (VFP6 only) that will remove the ReadOnly flag from every file before building the project and setting it back on for the files that had it after the build.
I haven't tried (probably because I don't have VSS! <g>) so I don't know what VSS will think of that little trick!
