>Maybe I was being a little too harsh in that last post. I just do not understand why Microsoft marketing continually makes it more and more difficult to justify using what is an excellent product. Why couldn't VFP be mentioned in any of the Visual Studio Next Generation web pages besides being included in the image? What does Microsoft lose by including two simple words alongside Visual Basic and Visual C++? And how does this exclusion thank the hundreds of thousands of VFP programmers who have remained loyal to the product?

Isn't it pretty much human nature to try to make the most money from your products. I mean M$ isn't in this business to give everyone that warm fuzzy feeling. This is why they tell people to develop with VB or Access on the front end and go to SQL Server on the backend. Ring the cash register!

VFP is it's own worst enemy to MS marketers. Why sell something where you only make money once when you can go the other route and get a bump in three or four arenas? As a hedge on my bet, I've been learning VB too, but I have to say I'd much rather develop in VFP.
