>But are there details as to WHY the techies rejected it (other than simply 'it's written in VFP)??? I assume that you mean techies at your company. And that being the case, what does MS VFP MARKETING have to do with that?
>
The techies have rejected it because :
- they recently missed a vfp development that would not run well on CITRIX,
- the vfp reputation by IT staff in europe is an absolute disaster (stuck somewhere your kid or your grandma dbaseii). MS VFP MARKETING has to do with that.
>I also find myself asking how over 3000 hours could be put into something without at least some prior checking with the techies with (obviously) a whole lot of power.
Why choose vfp? Because we first tried to build a prototype in vfp. The prototype (around 1000 hours of work) was so neat that decided to keep vfp for the product itself (instead of Delphi). A risky choice i now have to accept.
The techies belong to our potential reseller unknown to us when we started the development... I would definitely not recruit them!
