The Win98 and 9 of the NT stations are all functioning properly - except when the remaining NT station has launched the application.

>>My first thought would be a security issue. A couple of things to try:

1. Try logging in to the network on the "bad" machine under the same user name as one of the "good" NT machines.

2. Try logging in on the "bad" machine as a user with Admin rights on both the local machine and whichever one is being used as the server (may require Domain admin privileges if it's NT Server).

Is the "bad" machine otherwise functioning properly on the network?

Al -

Thanks.

Something New: This user's system was taken Thursday for hardware folks to rebuild due to dramaticaly reduced speed. When returned today the user mistakenly set up a new shortcut to the network drive folder that stores the VFP exe files for installations. The application ran from the server with no problem.

I'll try #1 tomorrow, can't try #2 without IT (This is a co-operative but "go slow" area - so far I've asked IT to let me know if there is anything different about this user's access.) I'll also try logging in on one of the "good" machine's as the user with the problem. Couldn't hurt. The "bad" machine seems to function on the network in terms of Lotus Notes, Notes mail - otherwise these folks do not share files(except for VFP).

I'll run through some of the other suggestions from the kind folks who responded and will post any success.

Eleanor
