Not sure I totally understand the situation, but here is a thought.

Build a table (or cursor) that is used to display the report. In one field, put you left side information. In the other field put your right side information. Sometimes one field (or the other) may be empty.

The idea here is to design a generic table that will work for this report and all the different situations that you will encounter with this report. When you have that table, you just need to write the code to fill the table for all cases of data and you are done.

Does this make sense?
