Also, on this topic. I've been checking out the web page for the NO Jazz Fest. Its 2 weeks before Devcon, so can't go, but they have some forums there. There's been some discussion of clubs to visit in the evening, so I've been compiling a list.

Comments are that these are very cool clubs, with great music, but you have to make sure to put your wallet in your front pocket, be aware of your surroundings, etc.
