Yeah, I realize cost of living makes a big difference, but since he made a point of saying that was a really good salary for the experience, and since he's not in, say, Silicon Valley, I guessed the COL was similar to here.

In case you're curious about my area:

1. My 2200 sqft house (2 yrs old) was $152,000
2. Property about 3k, income: not sure, sales: 5.5%
3. No, the public ones are good.
4. Me, 10 minutes. Unless Matt hires me. :) Then about 25.

50k would be a good income. I think I'm worth about 40k given the area and my experience. I make 34k, so I'm somewhat underpaid.

>>Wow! I wish I lived in Texas. I've got a little over 2 years experience, 99% in VFP, and I don't make anywhere near that.

>Good luck! As fewere people know VFP, I see the ability to get better $ easier.

>Seeing 50k for <2 years experience is pretty damn good. But I live in an area where that house would cost 130 -> 180 grand depending on the area. That house would be 1000 a year in Taxes, there is no State income tax. Here in Memphis the rush hour traffic slows down to 45 or 50.
