>The oft-quoted line comes into play (is this Jim Booths line?):
>
>"Those that know don't tell, those that tell don't know"
I've seen this quote attributed to Jim Booth one too many times
now. Although some people may have read it the first time from
his postings, it actually comes form Lao-Tzu's manuscript
"Tao Te Ching", written sometime in the fifth or sixth century B.C.
Here's the complete verse:
Those who know don't talk.
Those who talk don't know.
Close your mouth,
block off your senses,
blunt your sharpness,
untie your knots,
soften your glare,
settle your dust.
This is the primal identity.
Be like the Tao.
It can't be approached or withdrawn from,
benefited or harmed,
honored or brought into disgrace.
It gives itself up continually.
That is why it endures.
