Does anyone know a way to idenity a unique workstation ID (on NT networks) other than by using SYS(0)?
SYS(0) returns the computer name. In Fox 2.6 under Novel there was a unique workstation number. An environment varible could be set in the Novel login script something to the effect WORKSTAION =????. In UNIX and Fox 2.6 you also get a unique user login ID. Both these work flawlessly.
I'm not too convinced that the computer name is a unique identifier in an NT network.
