>I have a combo box that is disabled. To match SBT standards, I don't want it to look disabled. So I set the disabled fore and back colors to the enabled equivalent (black and white respectively). It didn't work. The background is white, but the text is an unreadable grey. Not just grey, but splotchy, like it's missing most of the pixels.

Michelle,
When the disabled forecolor is black VFP dithers the display to show a difference between enabled and disabled. Any color other than black does not get dithered.
