>>>Erik,

>>>I'm not sure I understand (and the way things have been going to-day, I'm not surprised in the least). A form with it's Desktop set to .T., doesn't appear on the taskbar when minimized. It can be anywhere on the desktop when minimized. A top-level (ShowWindow = 2) will. It's caption seems normal, as does the other (desktop) form. Of course, this was done in design mode. What am I missing here?

>>Ok, here's the scenario:

>>Config.fpw has SCREEN=OFF
>>A main prg calls a top-level form (desktop=.F.) and issues READ EVENTS.
>>A button on the main form calls a "in top-level form" form whose desktop property is set to .T.
>>At this point, there are two items on the taskbar: one for the TL form that has the icon and caption of the TL form, and one for the desktop form with the icon of the TL form, and a caption that says "Microsoft Visual Foxpro"

>Sorry, Erik, I can't replicate this. I have an application (top-level) that calls a modal dialog, who's ShowWindow is 1 (In-top-level form). I changed the dialog's Desktop property to .T., created a CONFIG.FPW with SCREEN = OFF, and ran it from the Explorer. When I call the dialog, it does indeed respect the desktop setting, but doesn't appear as a separate item on the task bar and there's no additional items displayed (IOW, no Microsoft Visual FoxPro item).

Modal. Man that's wierd. I'm going to see if I can distill this and reproduce the behavior in a bare bones app. If I can, I will e-mail it to one of you guys, and see where the difference is. Thanks for testing for me.
