The reason I was wondering is that it looks like my monitor was being put into stand by. I switch it off when I go home for the eve, but when I came back and turned the monitor on, it wouldn't power back up.

I thought it might be a power management problem, but couldn't find it under NT.

Oh well... It hasn't been happening for a few days, so I'm not going to worry about it.
