Molson is a big player here and I tend to beleive their advertising department. Considering that they sponsor every hockey team in Canada AFAIK (the Canadians play at the Molson Center) and that hockey is the main sport here, I'm not surprised, even if it's not my prefered brewery. I never heard about the green beer however, but then, I live in Quebec... It not uncommon to hear that the market is different here than the rest of Canada.
