I know about the issue of Foxpro being dead or not, but I've read that VFP 7.0 is coming on strong. What's happening down there that is not happening here? Do you folks there get better advertising? (Where?) It is a pity that MSFT is not advertising VFP up here since it is really damaging the image of developers that are affected by the lack of information. Lot of companies have bad stories about systems that were developed in FP for DOS and unfortunately weren't too solid, since all the data validation that was needed wasn't perhaps in place.

Hello Gil,

First let me tell you that there are jobs. The trick is how to find them. Here are ways that could help to find those jobs.

It also depends on the kind of work you're looking for. If you're looking for a 9 to 5 job (if this kind of work still exists)

1) Maybe the user's group in a given place could be of some help in finding jobs.

2) Contacting consulting firms.

3) Contacting big companies directly.

If you want to contract on your own why don't you call companies directly to offer your services as a consultant. The majority of those companies won't be looking for a development tool but for a job wel done.
