Why should I create a temporary cursor to be the default RecordSource of the Grid if there are ways in where i can put directly the result of the transaction?

As long as your grid does not depend on column order being different from the field order, you'll be OK. If it does, or you have "custom" columns based on a calculation or a special column size, you'll lose that when the RecordSource is zapped, but you won't lose your column methods, etc.
