Yes. The ORDER BY Clause in the view only orders the records when you open the view or requery it.

Yeah? So? The index on the view is a local file. A view is really nothing more that a persistent SQL select to define a cursor. The cursor has a local presence. We are not talking about creating an index tag on the back end ;-)
