But if you care at all about the impression that this thread gives new subscribers, you'll accept that this thread doesn't become either of you. To a newbie whose read the guidelines, I think that even JVP upon reconsidering would admit that his original message would have been better placed in Chatter or even Third Party Products since it is not about Visual Foxpro in general. But however scandelous some might say that behavior is, it pales in comparison to the depths to which the thread has since degenerated.

My apologies for inserting my own comments in this conversation. JVP may have put the message in the wrong place here on UT. Walter's commentary was at the standard of Walter's commentary. I felt a need to express my support for JVP's position on matters and let him know there's at least one person who does not share Walter's view of the value and appropriateness of JVP's considerable contributions. My ongoing, visceral nausea caused by even slight interaction with Mr Meester resulted in my intentionally going beyond expressing my support and encouragement for John regarding FPA's seeming direction. While I apologize for any inconvenience or lack of comfort you may have resulting from my reply, I'm not going to revise my impression of the value or compentence of Walter's insights into such matters. I try to avoid dealing with Meester in general, but John should not be left out on a limb when unwarranted, undeserved and in my opinion, openly vicious, hostile commentary is presented. I'm perfectly happy to take a slap for stepping outside the bounds of gracious and polite participation when an open and unwarranted attack made on someone of JVP's unique qualifications is made. From my POV, JVP's earned the right to express an opinion, and the backing of those of us who recognize the value of his thoughts.

IOW, count me as someone wanting to hear from John, and offended by Walter's statements. I won't waste time or bandwidth discussing my disdain for Walter; it should be clear I don't regard him as a friend or valued acquaitence.
