Much as I respect all those involved, I defend Garrett's response. What Tamar does in her private practices is really her business.
>
That may be true. However, as a TE of the only mass-distributed Fox-specific magazine, her credentials for that post are up for public scrutiny.

Specifcally, Tamar posted a lot of insights regarding UI, and more specifically, Web-UI. Like I ask others on this forum, I pressed for details on how her conclusions were drawn. On of my primary areas of query is found in the area of real experience.

So, while you see it as an attack, I see it as a spirted technical discussion.

It's fair to ask, but not fair to demand a response. Again, Tamar is under no obligation to respond.

Again, if it is fair to ask, why are my questions being regarded as an attack..

But this is not court, Tamar is not on trial by anyone (except, maybe, by John), and she is under no obligation to respond.
>

She is not on trial, rather, she is being held accountable. As for not being a court, I disagree. This is the court of public opinion. A place where I have been found guilty of some offense more than once..< bg >..

John has put her in a lose-lose situation. If she responds, he'll attack her response, and if she doesn't, he'll claim it validates his position. Frankly, in Tamar's shoes, I wouldn't respond.

Tamar is only in a lose-lose situation if she has not practical experience to speak of. Sure, it will be simple enough for her not to 'dignify my questions with a response'. In the end, we know, or at least, I know what that really means. John, don't presume that I will attack her. She has brought up some good points in this discussion. And, I have said I agreed with her on several occasions. The watchward John, don't assume...

I'm surprised that you would lend credence to this sort of attack on a respected member of our community. You've been hanging with those asswipe losers at DevX for too long and it shows. Tamar has nothing to prove to us; if FPA can be improved, great. But not this way, not in this tone. We are eating our young here.
<

Again, if it is fair to ask, why is it an attack. And, based on the dismal performance of FPA as of late, and the 5 year downward trend, yes, I hold Tamar accountable. Does she have anything to prove? I guess not. Then again, as far as FPA is concerned, the magazine would do far better to have an entirely different group of people in charge...
