I can't speak for others, but my customers do care very much about their investments in code over the years. While I am moving them to n-tier designs with encapsulated functions that can be replaced with modules in any language of the future, they still want to know what's happening with VFP and want the assurance that it's not being abandoned anytime soon.

I *have* said that publicly here. I plan to be one of the first in line for VB7 certification.
