Hi All,
I have a dead NT 4.0 Workstation disk (SP4). The disk failed to boot during the blue screen and since has refused to even start the boot process.
I have installed the disk into another working NT box and the two partitions on the damaged hard disk are recorded as "unknown" by Disk Administrator.
Both partitions are visible in Explorer however they generate "file/volume corruption errors". Chkdsk refuses to run as it claims that the disk was generated by a newer version of NT than the one installed - not true.
I have tried the CRD Commander utility and unfortunately it was unable to see the damaged disk.
Does anyone have any brian waves or should I just shoot myself now.
Thanks in advance,
Aaron Young
