Thanks for your reply. I am working in a client-server environment using VFP and Oracle 8. The idea here is to get the list of deleted records from this remote view and perform a check in the backend for each of these records using SQL Pass-through before they are actually deleted.
This is why I can't use a tableupdate at this point. I could perform a check at the point the user clicks the delete mark on the grid, however it would be a little slow since the user moves fairly quickly over the grid.

Any other ideas?
