I don't know why you're having this problem, but you could add a Logical field to the remote view and put a checkbox into the grid for the new field. Let the user's click the checkbox instead of the delete mark (you'd have to remove the delete mark to prevent their using it). This is visually clear to the user and easy to check in the remote view. I'm assuming that after you checked the Oracle records you could just "Delete for MyNewField = .T."
