Hi Perry,

IMHO FPA tries to be too many things to too many people. VFP is a very broad product and there are many different areas of endeavor and developer expertise. I think FoxTalk hits the nail on the head for having a publication that caters to intermediate-advance coders.

Maybe what's needed are small 'zines that focus various areas and skill levels. Probably not supportable by a major publisher, though. I think it was JVP that said once that maybe magazines like FPA, VBPJ, etc. are going the way of the dinosaur and up to the Web.

Be that as it may, I would love to see a 'zine devoted to a single topic. For example, VFP Forms. It could have an introductory article (Forms Defined) and then two or three articles each for the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced developers. And then each month you move to a different topic and then after 12 or 18 months, you cycle back with fresh articles on the same topic.
