Keep in mind that it was only a first draft..
However, the goal was to have active people involved. And, the idea was to get the best out of people...

As far as the API issues goes, and other developer topics, keep in mind that VBPJ has 80+ pages to work with. FPA only has 52, including the front and back covers. VBPJ probably has a circulation of 30,000 or so. It may be higher. FPA only has a circulation of 8,000 or so. The economies of scale may be different.

Until FPA gets the advertising/content ratio corrected, the magazine is doomed..

Looks good to me. About the only thing I'd take issue with is the 4 articles a year business for being a TE. It might lead to, "Well, I need to write an article..." and it might end up being worthless.

One of the areas that I personally think that many VFP programmers are lacking in is and understanding of what goes on "under the hood". Unfortunately, except for sporadic articles, FPA rarely addresses this topic. I believe that an understanding, however basic, of what actually goes on in Windows might save folks a lot of grief (is this a surprise?).
