I hear you, but the quality of Den meetings and Pack meetings, etc. depends entirely on the particular parents involved, not on the Scout organization in general. I agree that I've seen a few adults involved in scouting that act as you say. But I have been fortunate for the most part to have adult leaders that are interested in the boys and not themselves and are committed to seeing that the boys have a good time and learn some values. I'm sorry that your experience was not the same.
