Any chance you can open the doc in Word or a newer flavor of WordPerfect and have it do the work for you?

>DOS? yep...I am trying to rename some sequentially named (0016001.PLD, 0016002.PLD, etc.) WP 5.1 DOS files, using WP's internal "long file name" and "type". Does anyone know how to identify the long file name w/in the file?
