Hi Doug --

I'm sure, given eneough time, you'll be fine.

I'm just fine now, thanks. Your sympathy is duly noted, however.

I'm curious.. Tell me about yourself, would you? Where you grew up, your family, and so forth. Did you grow up in Washington state?

I've lived in this area since '73. As to when I "grew up," well, that's a pretty loaded question to be asking in this thread, isn't it? <vbg>

My wife says that up in your area that just over the border are some beautiful gardens (Buchart?) that are worth the trip alone.

Absolutely! Next time you're in Victoria, it's certainly worth a good afternoon jaunt.

That said, I'm about 300 miles south of there, just north of Portland, Oregon.

I was up in Renton and Redmond last week and, man, it was beautiful! I kept hearing people tell me how nice it was to have a little sunshine. <g>

We don't want folks to think it's nice here all the time. There's already too damn many Californicators tromping through. <g>

Do you primarily program with VB, VFP or ??

Yeah, VB.

How long have you been programming and what kinds of projects have been the most fun?

I guess it's going on close to 25 years now. Wow. I like challenges, and seem to find them all around. Most fun? Damn, that's tough. Had a lot of fun writing an HPGL/2 driver, once.

Have you done much with SQL stuff as John was asking Tamar? Do you prefer a VB front end, VFP, Delphi or ?

Don't do data, sorry. Bores me to tears. :-)

Later... Karl
