There may also be some kind of weird memory leak related to it. I was using it in several methods of a class constructed to do data conversion from a .TXT into a SQL table. The first 1K records went in fine, but about 1500 or so I started getting C0000005 errors all over the place. The SCATTER NAME calls were all to locally declared variables but maybe they weren't being fully destroyed when the methods were finished.
Anyway I had to yank them all out before I could get passed that dreaded error.
>No, but it has some limitations. For instance, if your table has a field name that is a reserved object property (like the common Name), then you'll have problems.

>Someone (I think it was Tasker), tried to use SCATTER/GATHER NAME in conjunction with Assign and Access when VFP 6 came out to try and create a data class but I don't think he ever finished it.
