Hi Mike --
>Only you'd know, of course. Far be it from me to guess whether you only find it erotic when she flashes other guys. I wouldn't bring it up with her, though, were I you.
It would be the least of my problem anyway :-)Heh. <g>
>Okay, so we're clear then, you were simply appealing to authority for no other reason that to show you knew how to, right?
No, because I thought it would be a helpful to the discussion to show examples of how other systems handle profanity and obscenity.Ah, but it doesn't really, does it? Isn't that the point? The System has certainly tried, but it nonetheless continues to fail miserably, huh? Did you hear about the guy who swamped his canoe in a park, and got hauled into jail for yelling the
expected phrase? That community became a laughing stock. Another recently made an erection illegal, if it was visible through the clothes. Nucking futz, or what? No, The System has failed, miserably, and is desperatetly seeking redefinition of itself.
>Back to the question then, eh? You, presumably, find certain acts performed for your benefit to be erotic. Are these, by definition, obscene as well if no compelling social benefit is delivered simultaneously?
Well, if there is no Art factor involved (debatable, but now we're realling heading off subject), I would imagine that anyone watching could consider it obscene. But if no ones watching, "does it make a sound" ;-) Hey, now we're getting somewhere! <g> So, obscenity only counts if someone other than the participant(s) observes it? What if it was a peeping tom? <g>
Anyway, you've clarified you have more of a sense of humor than first demonstrated, and for that I think you and I will probably get along.
Later... Karl
PS -- If "it" doesn't make a sound, ummm, might I suggest you focus more on her and less on yourself? <gd&r>
