I have an application where I collect data about projects. The user wants to drive payroll from this application. I am collecting the hours and the rate for each job by project now. I am wondering if the following seems the best way to generate a payroll for a small company.

What I have so far is to present to the user a grid with a line item for each employee with the gross pay, total hours, deductions, net pay etc. then somehow give the user a way to look at the items that make up the weekly info...

This is the first time I have done any payroll stuff so any input will be helpfull.
