Gavin,

I took a closer look and this is not a bug. When you're in the data item picker there are two columns. One for available items, and one for selected items. If you select "dictionary" while one of the available items is highlighted, you are positioned on the selected available item in the dictionary, which is what the program is assuming you want to see. If you position the cursor in the selected list, and then select "dictionary", you are positioned in the dictionary on that item in the selected list.

What was happening in your case was that the cursor was positioned on the first item in the available list causing you to think that it was erronously being added to the list of all items selected. The "dictionary" button is designed for you to go directly to the selected item.
