Hi Bill,

Ok, so what you're saying is that when you have the 'This' checkbox selected for 'Available Data Items' it filters to the data items in the request and also filters to the data item that the cursor was on when 'Dictionary' is pressed in the 'Data Items for Request' screen ?

I've rebuilt FoxFire! using the latest patch and my Push/Pop problem appears to have disappeared. Thanks so much for all your help. The new version of FoxFire! looks great and my users are impressed with it. Can you please pass on my thanks to Henry Muller who has been assisting me as well.

Regards,
Gavin.

>>>I've just found another bug. If you try to modify the Data Dictionary from >>within a request ( click data items and then dictionary ) I've noticed that >>it shows a field from a table that isn't part of the request !!! This happens >>for all requests. The offending field appears to be the first record in the >>_ITEM table for the preference set when the index RDI_NAME is set.

>I took a closer look and this is not a bug. When you're in the data item picker there are two columns. One for available items, and one for selected items. If you select "dictionary" while one of the available items is highlighted, you are positioned on the selected available item in the dictionary, which is what the program is assuming you want to see. If you position the cursor in the selected list, and then select "dictionary", you are positioned in the dictionary on that item in the selected list.
>
>What was happening in your case was that the cursor was positioned on the first item in the available list causing you to think that it was erronously being added to the list of all items selected. The "dictionary" button is designed for you to go directly to the selected item.
