>>>I have an application that has been running fine for the last 6 months on 5 different sites. However, recently, some of my sites has not been able to work reporting an error message "File Access Denied".
>>>
>>>I have studied this error and it is not due to the attribute of the the file being accessed. My client's system specifications are :-
>>>
>>>Processor : 486 DX2-66
>>>RAM : 8MB
>>>Operating System : DOS/Windows 3.11
>>>Network : Peer-to-Peer
>>> Lantastic Network Operating System (2-users)
>>>
>>>A step-by-step study leads me to understand that one of my programs opens up to 20 files at one time. There used to be no problem until recently. After opening the 11th file, the system reports "File Access Denied". This means that the system suddenly doesn't support the opening of more than 10 files.
>>>
>>>In the CONFIG.SYS states FILES=99.
>>>
>>>Can someone please help me. I almost going bonkers.

NASSIR

Seems awfully strange it happens around file 11 each time (?), awfully strange. I would look to see if the same file choked it each time. If so I would do everything to check the file including reindexing, packing & turning it upside down!

Is the error message from Fox, Lantastic, who's is it? Have you tried disabling the network & trying it?

If all else fails I'd get rid of Lantastic! (s)
