After opening the 11th file, the system reports "File Access Denied". This means that the system suddenly doesn't support the opening of more than 10 files.

Tom,

It actually doesn't matter which file is opened at work area 11. The message (which is a Foxpro message) will still appear. So I think we can rule out the fact that a single file is choking it.

I have not tried disabling the network to see if the application runs as a stand-alone application. I'll try out ASAP.

I've sent an e-mail to Artisoft for technical support on Lantastic to see if there are any file handles configuration that I need to set. But they have not replied.

Thanks a million, Tom. Wish me luck, anyway.
