Is there a difference between a text file created with fcreate/fputs/fwrite/fclose and one created in NotePad?

When I try to import a 'Comma Seperated Value'(.csv) file in Outlook 2000 that I created in FoxPro, I get an error (cant read blah blah blah). If I open the same file in Notepad, re-save it and close it. It imports just fine! I didnt change anything in it, just re-saved it with Notepad!

Any suggestion on how to get a file to import from VFP to Outlook2k?
