Were you using the same client software on the W/S, but differing only in the server version?
Regardless, I would suspect the Novell Client32 software first. Typically it has a lot of settings you can play around with. If you haven't already been there go out to http://support.novell.com and search on FoxPro. If you don't get the answer there, look at the client settings and turn off or minimize any that attempt to cache data at the client. Historically, overly aggressive default settings by Novell have caused problems.
