Freddie,
In the command
REPORT form MyReport PREVIEW

The "MyReport" is the name of the report. The name of the FRX file that is produced when you create or change a report layout with Modi Report MyReport.

If your cursor is named RPTA then all fields in the report must also be in RPTA. When you open the report with Modi Report MyReport (using the actual name of your report, of course) and then double click on any field you will see the field name. It may or may not have the cursor or table name attached: MyCursor.MyField or just MyField. If the cursor name is attached, it must be identical to the cursor your data is in.

I don't use the Report Wizards because the mess up my indexes and can't be modified easily, so I can't help you with that question.

>Barbara what is MyReport name. Is this a temporary report file name? Because I was uning RPTA in replace of RPTA. RPTA is the actual develop report name. Barbara is it whenever you use the verb CURSOR will that generated special fields in memory. I think the fields are in RPTA must relate to your table being use. I need to learn this concept because I have a few reports to write. I really do appreciate your time and help. This on the job training is tough.(Smile)
