they're planning on bringing up the Payroll modules first on Jan 1 and then the Accounting mods on Sept 1 the next year (when our fiscal year closes), and we average 4.5 million records processed per month, so it should get real fun real fast, wouldn't you say?

>The performance is really fairly good, all in all, though our new Peoplesoft DB does not have a really huge amount of data in it yet, a few thousand records each in a few tables, and not many users yet - it came online after our main budget processing was already done for the fiscal year. You'd have to ask me again in 6 months or so, though, when the DB is up to full usage, to see what I say. But that wasn't on my list of complaints, and it's already much faster than some internally done PB/Sybase apps, which are abysmally slow, even with hardly any data.
