MyVar = CmdLst.Cmnd should do the trick. What is the scope of the variable? LOCAL, PRIVATE or PUBLIC? Where is it defined?

BTW, you should have posted this question in the VFP forum...
>I am having trouble passing the value of a vfp field to a variable.
>
>I have a data environment called dbfDataEnv.
>It is connected to my form via dbfConn.
>My vfp database, projdbc, contains a table, cmdlist, with a field, cmnd.
>I would like to place the field value in a variable, tmpcmd.
>Neither the field or the variable are associated with any objects on the form.
>
>I just can't seem to get the syntax right on this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
