Hi Gavin,

"Foxfire Queries"... hmmm.... I like the title <g>.

>>and kept getting a "LONODE is not an object" error when trying to save my >>first relationship. I managed to get around the error by opening the ????JOIN >>table and creating my first relationship manually. It worked fine after that. >>I can Email you a load of screen dumps for this problem if need be.

1. please e-mail the screen shots. bwood@micromegasystems.com

>>I couldn't figure out why this was happening, my directories were set up fine >>in the preference set. I then discovered that the 'SEARCH PATH FOR USER >>FILES' was being carried over from a previous preference that I'd been in. My >>preference set for LIVESYS has K:\DEMOSYS\DATA;K:\LIVESYS\DATA in the search >>path. I removed the K:\DEMOSYS\DATA part and it now works ok.

2. That's the way it's worked for all the versions. Clearing the path for each Preference could be equally troublesome in that parts of the path may need to be carried over from Preference to Preference to make the Preference work properly. We choose to leave the path intact and add to it any additional paths.

>>When running a report to a spreadsheet and a large amount of data is >>extracted Foxfire appears to hang, but hasn't hung, it's just taking a long >>time. Is it possible to have a Progress Bar so that the user knows what is >>happening?

3. I'll take a look. The output to xls is handled with the COPY TO command so a progress bar maybe a problem. But at least a wait window with something like "exporting data..." could be popped up. Good idea.

Keep those "queries" coming. Your helping make the product better and more solid for everybody else.

Thanks.

Bill
