>Yes the original isn't displayed correctly, although it does display. The skip for memory variable is not persistent even after a save to and restore. Push and pop seem not to add anything to this. I've narrowed it down to 2 problems. App2's menu shows, but the program keeps on going past the read events and goes back to app1. This would be annoying by itself, but the app1 restore doesn't stick.

If these are 2 separate .APPs running inside the same instance of VFP, you can only have one READ EVENTS. It sounds more like you need to redesign the two APPs to be more cooperative with each other, maybe by having a "manager" app that has the READ EVENTS and it starts APP1 first.
