you are exactly right. I used a very old copy of IconMakeit to create the new icon files. When I switched to large icons, per your suggestion, the exe files show the proper icons. I have a copy of VFP 5.0 around here somewhere and at the least I now know what to look for now. Many thanks.

>Probably in Explorer if you change to 'Large Icons' you will see them, and if you change to 'Small Icons' you will not (or the other way around). Some .ICO files contain two images, a 16x16 image and a 32x32 image. Your .ICO probably only has one of these two.
